Pre-wedding shoots in 2020!
Good news folks! From 1 July 2020, we are flicking the proverbial Vs at CV19 and I am opening my diary for pre-wedding shoots (also known as engagement shoots)! ✌🏼
2020 has been pretty terrible so far, and it’s meant lots of you have moved your weddings to a later date, so I’m very happy to say from 1 July we can look at getting your pre-wed shoots back in the calendar. I’m currently free practically every day until September and therefore have plenty of availability, so let’s get you all booked in, if your package includes a pre-wedding shoot. If your package doesn’t include a pre-wedding shoot, why not treat yo’self to one anyway, and give a collective ‘F you’ to the ‘Rona? If you were meant to marry in 2020, having a cheeky little engagement sesh will help take away the postponement blues. Pre-wedding shoots are £175 and are a wicked chance to get some beaut snaps of you and your other half. These shoots are as romantic or as anti-romantic as you want; I don’t do gimmicks, and it’s a fab chance to have a little practice in front of the camera before the big day.
As you’d expect, it’s imperative we follow the recommended social distancing guidelines for the short/medium term future. This includes us keeping a minimum 2m distance, and no physical contact/close proximity between me and you guys. It goes without saying that if you have any symptoms of CV19, ie a persistent cough, shortness of breath, a temperature or loss of smell, you must advise me immediately as the shoot can’t go ahead. I’m sure you understand it’s of paramount importance we all remain healthy and reduce the spread.
Now the serious bit is out of the way, let’s see what these crazy engagement shoots can look like. Scroll below to see what I mean!
My pre-wedding shoots take up to an hour and a half, and you can usually expect to receive between 30-60 high quality photos of you both. We can do these shoots wherever you want, but I’ve always got some suggestions on location if you need some help.
Popular ideas include somewhere green and foresty, the beach, or during the summer months, in an awesome wheat field! (I am rather partial to the wheat fields, in case you hadn’t guessed.)
During the sunny summer months, I always recommend doing pre-wedding shoots in the evening to get glorious ‘golden hour’, the time just as the sun hits the horizon. You get incredible diffused, dreamy light, and it’s much cooler than during the day.
Of course we don’t need to schedule your pre-wedding shoot for summer, it can be done during the autumn or winter too:
Finally, it is always 100% cool to bring your doggo along for your pre-wedding shoot, too!
So, what are you waiting for? Let’s get your pre-wedding shoot in the diary and get this wedding show back on the road.
