Hanna + Jassim | Engagement shoot
When Hanna and Jassim got in touch with me earlier this year to say they were engaged and were planning to marry at Hylands House, I was like, er where do I sign up? These two settled on the iconic Chelmsford country house as they’d been searching for something grand and beautiful, and boy are they going to get it! As a Chelmsford resident I am very familiar with Hylands House, and I was so excited to hear about their plans for a traditional-style English wedding at this glorious venue.
Ahead of their vows later this month, we headed back to their venue to shoot their pre-wedding photos. Frequently pre-wedding shoots can be a little daunting for couples, particularly when they get given the sometimes cringey title ‘engagement photos’, but Hanna and Jas were absolute superstars in front of the camera, and it made for a lot of fun and zero cringe factor! I can’t remember being asked to get a totem pole in shot before but hey, there’s a first time for everything. Hylands House and it’s grounds are so lovely, it was hard to not photograph all afternoon!
Hanna and Jas marry at the end of October, so check back here in early November to see how these guys got on getting hitched in the beautiful surroundings of Hylands Park. For now, here are some of the shots we got on this lovely Autumn day:
