Downham Hall, Essex Wedding Venue | Styled Shoot

In Essex we can’t have too many wedding venues, each with their unique character and story, appealing to different brides and grooms across the county. So I was excited to learn a brand new wedding venue was opening local to me: Downham Hall. Downham Hall is set in the countryside on the outskirts of Billericay, a country house venue believed to date back to the 1700s, and is the perfect setting for a wedding comprising an intimate or medium-size number of guests. Full of character, Downham Hall continues to be refurbished with contemporary decor, yet retaining it’s traditional grandeur. In short, it’s gorgeous!
With so many Essex bride and grooms seeking a wedding venue with character, yet central enough to towns such as Billericay, Wickford or even the city of Chelmsford, I arranged a styled shoot at the venue, collaborating with several other suppliers local to Downham Hall, to showcase this new wedding location. This venue has so many great spots for photos!
The theme was traditional yet contemporary, a reflection of the venue, using popular trends we can expect to see during the 2018 wedding season. It was important to collaborate with local suppliers, and it was great to work with other top independent businesses – creating a Downham dream team!
