Gibberd Gardens Harlow

When Cassie and Harry agreed meeting halfway between our respective locations for their pre-wedding shoot was a good idea, I had to get creative. I live in Chelmsford and they’re in Hertfordshire, so after much Googling and head-scratching, I decided the motorway services on the M11 wasn’t going to cut it, and stumbled upon The Gibberd Garden, a lovely little cultured garden visitor space, tucked away in Harlow. And it turned out to be pretty darn good, as the mature, leafy surroundings were perfect for shading all three of us on a crazy hot summer’s day!

We got off to a cracking start when Cassie nearly tripped over on literally the first image I tried to take – much to Harry’s amusement. I tried to keep things accident-free, but it didn’t stop Harry from scaling a little fort in the depths of the garden.

Cassie and Harry are getting married in July at The Compasses in Pattiswick, a venue I know well, as a recommended supplier. Their wedding day will no doubt prove to be unique, with confetti made from old comic book pages, and a silent disco in the evening to round off the party! I mean, how amazing is that??

Here’s a selection of images from our visit to The Gibberd Garden (which I would thoroughly recommend as a nice little outing, by the way), and you’ll see how easy these guys made it look in front of my lens! Roll on the wedding!!
